The balance sheet is an accounting document that shows the financial position of the company at a given date.

Formula:
Assets = Liabilities

• Left side (Assets): what the company owns (fixed assets, stock, cash)
• Right side (Liabilities): what the company owes (equity, debts)

In Algeria

The balance sheet is mandatory under the SCF and must be filed annually. It is part of the tax filing package.
